He was one of those Easter dyed chicks. I think they inject the eggs with Dye and thats how they come out different colors.

I dont know,
They take any dye put it in a needle and stick it in the egg (really poke a hole and put a the neddle in a spot in the egg)

I found instructions on the net...I'm afraid I'll accidentally break the egg...and I am hatching mutts so I dont know what color they are for sure. Maybe I'll try it on some grocery store eggs. I have had great success dying my dog pink. I have one white chicken...he may need to be blue and green...the next time its really warm outside...
