Here is a great article..I am fascinated by this bird..we identify most birds by their outward appearance, their phenotype, and associate certain things with that. The Whiting True Blue however can look radically different from bird to bird, but always carries the gene for producing a blue egg. I ordered four from Murray McMurray hatchery, and last April 8 I received them. They’ll be 18 weeks old tomorrow, here are some pics so you can see how neat their appearance is. They are supposed to be prolific layers, I’ll let you know about that when they start, right now they are very slight birds compared to my Cuckoo Marans, Bielefelders, Black Australorp, and Speckled Sussex.
