View attachment 1274128 The TSC near my house brought their chicks out yesterday. Of coure, I rushed there right after work. My DH went along and we picked up 4 little Egyptian Fayoumi. So glad they carry not just the RIR and sex links. They are small but cute.

My chick order is coming in April, from Cackle. I often weaken and bring home a few from TSC, and hatch some here too. Only chickens!

Don't do it. By pass TSC as the middle man and go straight to the hatchery. When you order from TSC, the chicks are sent from the hatchery through the USPS to your local post office, exactly as would happen if you ordered direct from the hatchery. Why give TSC a cut of the profit? Just my 2 cents worth. And, IIRC, when ordering from the hatcheries the max order size often drops to 15 after 4/1. When ordering direct, you have even more breeds available.

As for feed... be sure to pick up crumble when you buy feed for the ducklings they can't eat pellets at their age. All Flock is a good choice every one can eat it[all poultry]

A tomcat is on the same level a ticks, scorpions, and flies in my mind. Things the world could do without. I simply never liked cats. So I wouldn't say my wife is an enabler she just a crazy cat lover. My 16 years of cat free bliss has ended. Dang!!

My DH is an enabler he is also a stroke survivor. So with us, he encourages me to get more, buy more ,.... But come time to take care of them he is no where around or "their your chickens".
