, I hope you're wrong , but I know you're well practised at this game ..........................................

I just candled for the first time ever. I've looked on here to have an idea of what to look for. My guess from what I saw, 11 dead out of 31. I haven't thrown anyone away just in case. They are almost finished with their 8th day. I could tell enough to know that some of them looked right.

SteveH, I looked and I think my used foam bator may be a Miller.

Me neither. The one I think it looks like is in a Nasco Agricultural Sciences catalog. Its says Miller Deluxe circulated-air bator. Although mine is still. The inside of the lid looks like mine.

A couple of the eggs I candled looked like they had a mass that wasn't moving. Does that sound like a "bad egg"?

I've been gone most of the day , and when I got home the bator was holding steady temps , but the thermometer recorded a low of 94 something instead of the usual 99.1 or 99.2 bottom of the cycle . I reset it , got caught up here , and checked it again . It said 100.1 high , 85.4 low .

I looked at recorded room temps , and its recorded a low of 54 in the past hour there ........................ its got to be a big fat liar . I put in a new battery [ the other isn't two months old and an EverReady Gold ] and watched it cycle 99.1 to 100.1 and recorded it accurately . I'm hopeing that was the problem .

I looked them up , everybody on here calls them LGs , short for Little Giants . I've read many reporting they could not get along with them .................................. but I've no experience with one personally .
