Although the people in North America went sideways with the notion that something as dire as the end of the world should happen based on someones knowledge of there writings which would and should really be challenged at this point ! The can't forecast the weather for more then a few days and yet some how the idea that a an ancient society could somehow have that knowledge to make this call ?? I watched a documentory that went to talk with the scattered remains of the Mayan people and they had no idea what they were talking about ? I am starting to think that maybe it's a sceme to see how much information would start a panic ! It wasn't as bad a 2000 ,but it could have been ! and that panic was again started by someone who most likely profited from it as well as who ever started this insane theory ............next it will be a alian attach ????? Really !

What people went sideways ? Most people here took it as a joke. And just went on with their life.

It was the scientists, they are like the doomsday forecasters only difference is scientists say "more research" and the doomsday forecasters move the date ahead.

I may be missing something here. Or I misunderstood you. I never heard any scientists say the earth was ending because the Mayan calendar did. Not one. Did you?
