The world is supposed to end!!!!

Ahh ... now I understand why all my birds were attempting to migrate to the various ruins of the Mayans ... I thought they were just already gettin' tired of all this snow ~'-)

I predict the government will study why the Mayans were wrong and provide grant money for the study before 12/21 2013

Ah, yes ... but not prior to sending to committee, convened in some distant and tropical region, so as to appropriate moneys for studies, so as to determine the need for further research into the matter ~'-)

The Mayans weren't wrong. The Mayans never said the world would end when their calendar did. Neither did any government or legitimate scientist. If any study should be done, it is one that explores the reasons why so many people believe the world will end on any given date, and are willing to risk their life savings that it will. I personally can remember at least three times in recent memory when the world absolutely, positively, no doubt about it, was supposed to end. It didn't.

People asked the Mayans that are still alive about this, and they said that it meant they needed a new calender...

If the 'Long Count' began at 7.13.0.0.0?
That'd be 1,101,600 days, or one new calendar every ...

Clear evidence that the base 20 banks of the Mayans' day
were even more stingy w/ their own free calendars than mine is
(One per customer, per each of our own slightly less accurate Gregorian Years ~'-)
