Kaleb shook his head. "When I was 13 I beat a helpless old man until he was very close to death for breaking into my house and stealing food. I could've scared him away but I didn't. My neighbor found me before I killed him. My dad took his life because he thought he raised a monster. My mom couldn't talk to me until I was 15. My little brother who was 8 at the time, was scared to death to even look at me until he was 10. How do you think I live with that everyday?"

"at least you didn't kill someone." she said, she had been out on patrol and a person violated a law punishable by death, she was forced to shoot the man and three other people who were accomplices in order to stay in her faction. she had killed 4 people who were younger than her and it was all because they were messing around. every one knew her story, nobody talked about it though. "and that doesn't explain why you and sam hang out with me, im not exactly the best company." she said smiling. she was trying to make it to where it wasn't still so gloomy, and she still had butterflys in her stomach .

She still has nightmares; Sam is like a sister to me. Sam and I hang out with you because we've all done bad things and we're all a bit crazy. Who cares what other people think, we can't go back I what we've already done." Kaleb shrugged. "We can't change the past, so we might as well get over it."

"i bet you i can beat you back." she said making a run for it as fast as she could.
