"not to most people, I just catch on to small things. you need a security when you talk to somebody. do you know what I mean?" she asked trying to help him.
"I need a guard?" He started to wonder how soon his parents would realize he was outside of his room without telling them.

"no." she laughed. "here she said giving him a piece of metal. "whenever you feel nervous let all of that go into the metal and it will help you not to feel so crowded. many great kings have done it. I think you father does to. but nobody tells because they think its a weakness. its not its a solution. she said looking into his eyes while dropping the metal into his hand.

Ivory saw her chance, with her parents gone with a trading business meeting or something, she could go out. She pulled the ribbon out if her hair, feeling a rush of relief as her hair fell across her shoulders and down her back. She changed into a pair of shorts and a short tunic, slipping out of her stupid dress and tight uncomfortable shoes. She reached under her bed and grabbed out her bow and arrows, then walked to her window. She sat on the sill and swung her legs over and out, then climbed down the rough stone to the lush grass of the palace garden. She ran out of the back gate, and into the thick forest, her hair brushing against the back of her knees.

He let the metal fall into his hands. "Thanks." He smiled warmly at her and then looked at the metal. Taking a deep breath he practiced transferring his nervousness into the metal. To his surprise it actually worked.

Aberdeen whispered a spell that caused her bookshelf to slide to one side. She opened the hidden closet and took out the huge spell book that was covered with intricate designs. After closing the door the bookshelf slid back in place. She flipped through the pages in search for a specific spell. "There you are." She whispered to herself and then set the opened book on her bed.

It had been so long since he'd felt so relieved, he almost couldn't believe it. "I'll have to thank you somehow. Seriously, I'll give you anything, anything you want. "

Kane sighed as he read a letter and sent word to get a horse ready to travel. He made his way back to the stables and mounted the fresh horse, thanking the stable-boy before riding out again, heading to the city.
