how long ago did u buy ur cam? do u have a recipet and the paper work with it? i always buy hp and usually the have a waranty.

also they can do a program where they send u a refurbished and u send in the broke one after u get it i've had to do it for a few of mine. can't remember the details off hand but can ask hubby since he's the one that mostly took care of them for me and talked to the company. i only remember paying ship back or nothing it was under waranty or limited waranty or something like that. to fix somethings it may cost ya but they should tell ya what before hand. i know if ya don't send urs back you have to pay for the one they sent.

pm me some details and i'll check into it for you. you may be able to get it replaced free or cheap. i know one of mine my kid's busted the tv screen on back when they dropped it and they still replaced it and that one was under a warranty, happened like 3mths or so after i got it(mabe just under a 90 day warrenty can't remember). i was thinking they have 90 day and a year warranty for different parts but i'd have to find the papers for mine. i'm not sure what model mine is have to look tomarrow but i thought they all had some kind of warranty on them.

It's never a wierd thing to reach up when you've hit bottom. We joke around like crazy people here but this community has a really great serious and caring side too, so I'm sure you will at least get the emotional support you need, I suppose the rest will be in hands greater than ours.

I ahve an HP photosmart 717that my husband bought for me for valantines the first year we were married, about 3 weeks after I got it my 2 1/2 year old son decided it was dirty and washed it with 409. I cried and cried then my hubbie took the battery and card out and let it sit open for a week .......... it still works thank goodness.

I don't suppose your broken camera is covered by insurance? I don't know how insurance works in the USA, but where I live many people's household contents insurance would cover this kind of thing.

mines a hp photosmart e327 i'll see if i can find the papers came with mine to get the # for the company. dh said if you have had it less than a year and the model # mine is on the bottom but may be on the side. you should be able to call them for a refurbished to replace it cause it should still be under waranty. you don't have to tell them how it got broke just what is broke or wrong with it.

u have to have a credit card # to give the company incase u don't send back the old one that way they know they will be paid for the new cam if they don't get the other back. so ur parents will have to call and do it for you. dh said they shipped to us and back free unless u want special shipping. when i got my new ones in you take the cam out package up the old how the new one came and resend in the box they sent ya. there is a postage paid label in it to go back to them.

My dad bought it for my mom over 2 years ago when my brother was getting ready to graduate from High School. So, the warranty is up. I emailed the people and they said we could send it in for $95 and they'd send back a refurbished Camera. Lucky for me, my mom's boss is the coolest person ever. Her DH is the pastor of their church, so the whole church went together and bought her a digital camera. She never takes pics, so she told me I can use it whenever I want! So, until we get a new one, I've got her's to use. Your prayers worked!
