The worst part about having a broody is.....

I miss my egg sandwich every morning.

I told hubby this is the exact reason why we need to keep at least 3 of the females out of the hatch.

Hubby hasn't been happy about not getting duck eggs for breakfast. We have a broody, one with young ducklings, and I am selling hatching eggs from the other 2 girls

My Rounes are fighting over going broody on a nest of FOUR whole eggs, while a nest of 12 eggs sits all alone because the Pekin, while not broody, wont let anyone on it!

Wifezilla~ I understand his pain.

My hubby can't come to actualy eating a duck egg for breakfst but he LOVES when I cook with them. His favorite so far was corn bread. He keeps asking when will she start to lay again already.

Great reason why you should have more then one female.

I do miss the muscovy eggs. Poor girl hasn't gone back to laying since she broke her broody spell.
