The Wyandotte Bantam Thread

Good looking guy!

How are your hens?

I lost several unfortunately to a hawk in February, so only have two from last year and a few youngsters from this year. I put my chocolate rooster to my black hens this year, as my chocolate line was getting fairly inbred. So now I have at least 6 young black cockerels that I have to sort out plus one black rooster that I'm placing. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your point of view, I haven't gotten up the gumption to eat them yet.

We'll see how the pullets mature at this point. Hopefully I'll go to a show or two to see if I can sell some of the young cockerels, and maybe a pullet or two......

I have 2 Silver Penciled Wyandotte Bantams, one hen and one cockerel. They both have beautiful marking on their feathers. My hen does not lay that often even though she is not that old, and goes through stages of laying, is this weird?

Beautiful chicken. I love the compact bodies of the Wyandotte

Im looking for some Wyandotte Bantams, anyone have any for sale?

Your best bet is to look at all of the hatcheries.

I got my bantam blue wyandotte from purely poultry. I think she has an excellent wyandotte shape, especially considering that she is from a hatchery.

Purely Poultry actually caries a bunch of colors.
