I have a new to the breed silly question. Columbian is a color of Wyandotte or did I forget it's a different breed?? I think I looked it up before in searching into Brahma history but I have forgotten.gray hair moment going on this past week, sigh.

I have three Golden and two silver babies right now. These are the sweetest birds. They jump up to greet me and climb on my hand for a ride and lost of loves. I'm really enjoying this breed.

Hi Everyone, I'm new here. I have been reading through this thread and everyone is so helpful so I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a Blue Laced Gold pullet who just started laying a few day ago and would love some babies from her. I also have a Gold Laced Wyandotte rooster and would love to know what variety of chicks I will get. Someone also told me that if I did breed this pair, I will get 100% Gold Laced females and a mix of males. If he is correct and I breed the gold laced female offspring with another gold Laced rooster, will they ever carry the Blue Laced Gold gene? Than you!

No worries about the silly questions, I have many of those! LOL. As to the Columbian, it is a type of wyondotte and a pretty one in my opinion. I just got picked up some wyondottes this summer and since I was afraid to do shipping, I was limited to hatchery gold laced wyondottes. Maybe I will be bold with my next set and buy some columbians next time.

Msw1208 thank you for explaining that.I currently have GLW. I love the blue laced red color and the silver laced as well. My main goal for next yr is to start a string of blue jersey giant so my Wyandotte mix will have to wait. Love them girls they follow me more then the rest of the 22 youngsters I have.
