The Wyandotte Thread

I ordered them from My Pet Chicken. There are 18 total, but they are not all wyandottes. They hatched yesterday. Their current brooder is a large plastic tub. Bedding is paper towels and hay, when they learn where the food is we will use wood shavings. One of them arrived very weak, but is doing better now. At first, she could not stand up, and looked almost dead, but she has been kept warm and she drank some water. Now she can stand! Is there anything else we can do to help her recover? Sorry about my late reply, we have no Internet, and I have to go into town to use it.

I'd offer crumbled up boiled egg yolk it's nutritious & really builds up strength. I always put 1 TBSP per gallon of water of Bragg raw organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar. It's really good for digestion & immune system, plus it is energy boosting. Also, you'll probably want her separate so the stronger ones don't pick on her. As far as tips on raising them there are very good articles in the learning center on this site. I hope she pulls through! My 1st group of 5 chicks are from mypetchicken & they're really healthy friendly wonderful girls.
