I am reading a Wyandotte book from almost a hundred years ago (1917) and that mentions single combs popping up, though "not as often as a few years ago." I do know it is simple-recessive to the rose comb, and I currently have three outside with single combs out of 33 total.the one on the left almost looks like it has a single comb... One of my Rose Comb Leghorns popped up with a single comb... but that is more common in that breed.
