The Wyandotte Thread

Most hatcheries will give a 90% guarentee that sexed chicks are as ordered. With just two chicks at least one should have been correct. But then it is 90 correct out of 100. If you only ordered 2 chicks, someone else ordered 98 and got the 90% pullets.

Just viewed the "FEATHERSITE" website which has the most pictures that I know of as far as Wyandottes and I did not see any Black Laced Reds, but what do I know ? nada ! But the pictures of the brown or so called Porcelain are gorgeous and I want some. How do you breed that variety ?

Try this website...

Thank you for tht information. Feathersite IS short on genetics

Can anyone tell me what this hen is...splash or buff? I've got BLR's and splash, but am unsure what this pullet is??

Can send other pics as well. Great thread with lots of helpful info here as well!!

Thanks Rain...That's what I thought too, buff. She's lighter than my splash too but I was worried she might just be 'washed out'. Looks completely different than any of my other bantam wyn's

but wanted others opinions of her as well.

I've not noticed any blue so far but will check her real well to day to be sure. If I find blue, what does that mean, splash?

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen any barred blue wyandottes? I happen to have stumbled upon a few, and don't know if it's common (or desired, for that matter). Any ideas?
