Yeah...its cold here too.

I am the Grill Master at our house....she just informed me that I would be grilling hot wings and chicken breasts tomorrow....right after I hang more drywall in the basement.

Thanks for bringing up grilling in the winter guys.....

Hi, guys!!

I'm on the lookout for LF Silver Laced Wyandottes hatching eggs...I've been watching the auction section here, but have not seen any listed in the month that I've been looking.

I am looking for an upgrade from my hatchery quality birds that I have, now. I LOVE my SLWs that I have now, but they are from a hatchery and not too close to the breed standard.

If anyone knows of anyone selling fertile eggs, please let me know

I have a brand new Brinsea incubator waiting for them!

No I was thinking about either the huge Black or the just as big Blues I have to use as a breeder. I have a BLR and Black wyndotte hens from the same hatch. No that is a partridge Rock same age as the wyndottes, I have a mixture of breeds.

Ahh come on hanging drywalls good for you. Just ask my father in law!

Its going to be a long time before I ever have to hang any and even then it will be too soon.

I was in the Army....did some time at Fort Campbell. We went to Corpus Christi a few time and had a lot of fun.

Drywall is not fun, but the good thing is we now have a brooder/ incubator room finished out with its own ventilation fan for the chicks too young for the outside brooder, especially in this cold. You know how much those little chicks stink

Hey Colby.....when and where am I getting with you to grab the GLWs??? I can just mail the box of chicks back so we don't have to drive.

Hi!
I've recently been given two GLW hens that are SO pretty! I plan on showing one of them next month. I would like to get a cockeral or rooster to put with them (they are under a year old) and don't really know where to look for one. I figured the Wyandotte thread would be a great place to start! If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it! I live in GA, about an hour South of Atlanta and I am willing to drive.

Thanks!
Morgan

I'd say that's a wyandotte. The dark legs are often just a part of that color. It's also common with blacks to have dark legs. It's a fault and something you would probably breed away from for the standard, but that's just the way some of them are. The colored varieties often have green legs or willow legs, but it's not a DQ, just an issue

Thanks a bunch! I appreciate it!
