Oh good! that sounds cute.. as you can see my puff daddy roo is no midget. LOL. I have one more splash blrw that's about 8 weeks old that I *think* is a roo, but hard to tell. Has pink wattles but no pink in the comb. very weird.

I'm looking for advice on my culling of my BLRW roos. I purchased 8 eggs from Julie3810 (gabbard farm) last year and ended up with only 5 fertiles that hatched. So I now have 3 roos and 2 hens. Along with the rest of the flock. I would like to start cull out my roos but not sure what to do since my son is attached to the one with terrible lacing. He is super calm, nice and BIG but his chest is mostly red and has really faint barely there lacing. Their is another one with nice more ideal lacing he is just small. The third has darker almost black lacing which I don't care for. I would like to keep two of the roosters cause we have a lot of fox around here and it would be my luck something would happen to one. I need to post pics but my digital cameras broke.

I have never breed BLW before, just looking for advice.

It's really hard to say without seeing pictures. I guess it boils down to what do you want from them? Are you wanting to try and breed them? Or do you just wanting a nice backyard flock? If the latter is all you care about then keep the one you like the best. If you're trying to keep them looking as a BLRW is supposed to look, then I wouldn't use the one with poor lacing.
