The Wyandotte Thread

Well, I really like your Partridges and would still like to get a dozen, our weather is starting to break loose, still freezing nights but days in the 40s, by sunday our snow should be gone.

The nursery room is ready, totes with shavings and feeders, heat lamp, mid april would work for me I think.

Mrs. Turbo :

I didn't get a picture of them before they hit the breeding pen. I will have to see how the pictures turn out.

Are your partridge LF or bantams. Duane Urch doesn't have blue or buff wyandottes either. I'm waffling between LF partridge or getting a refund...
ps. how are my kids doing?

Long time chicken owner here, but first time wyandotte owner! I've got marans (black and blue coppers), welsummers, ameraucanas (black, blue, silver, wheaten), barred olive eggers and mottled javas.

I have 20 chicks arriving from Paul's Poultry next week.. I'm super excited... did the breeder's choice, so I have no idea what to expect! Do any of you have some birds from him, and if so, how have you liked them? I'm still educating myself on the breed standards

But after asking around Paul's name came up more than anyone else's, though I know there are other great breeders out there.

Will post pics as soon as they come in!
