I have raised almost every single Bantam Variety and there are great things about each of them. Some of the varieties are very rare for good specimens while there are very good quality Blacks, Whites, Partridges, Silver Laced and to a certain extent Columbians and Buffs. There are some good Barred, Golden Laced out there but not very common. Temperament is generally good for most of them, you will get an occasional aggressive male but not real often.
I have raised quite a few varieties of the LF as well. Same can be said for almost all of the varieties. Very good SL and Whites out there. Some good to decent Columbian, Golden Laced, Silver Pencilled, Black, Blue and Partridge but again not alot of those to be found. They are very large, docile birds and are not very aggressive. If you buy hatchery stock of any of these varieties expect aggressive males. Every hatchery Wyandotte I have ever been around was mean as all get out, wasnt a fan of them....haha.
Hope this helps you out.

only thing I would get at hatcheries anymore are layers or project birds.
I was at a sale, and I even met a show judge there, He was desprate to get them. He said they was nicer then most show birds he has seen.
I believe they went 20 something a piece.
I saw some Silver laced wyandottes, But the lacing was faded, and looked like they all have faught.
My friend contacted me about their brother or brother in law that had a trio for sale.
( The birds I got a few hours ago and posted) They have nice lacing, and combs seem to be good.
I am very happy with the purchase and can't wait till they start laying.
here's two trios of columbian wyandotte bantams I won on a silent auction at the Wyandotte Western Nationals. They are so calm and friendly and go really well with my columbian hen.
here's my hen from the show, she is such a butterball.
