I thought you probably got yours from John. He purchased his BLRWs from my friend Kirstie. I think she said most of what she sold him was from Blue Poultry. I recently sold my gorgeous splash Greg Catt line rooster (replaced him with his son) and a splash Bill Braden hen to John. If you want to add some super nice lines to your flock you should see if he will sell you eggs from my Catt rooster.

It is hard to take pictures of the BLRWs that do them justice. Here are pictures of some of mine. Foley, Paul's Poultry, Gregg Catt lines.

The birds in the picture came from ebay eggs... Not sure what line, wish I had paid better attention back then

Then a few more ebay eggs....Now I'm just incubating my own...
I love everything about the Spash Wyandottes

They are not only beautiful....but so dang sweet...

My flock consists of 4 blue laced red and 2 black laced red hens, and a blue rooster. I just put the hens back in with my rooster, so it will be another 2 weeks at the least before I have eggs available. Only 3 of my hens, a blue from Paul's Poultry and 2 blacks from Foley's, are compatible with my rooster. The other 3 blue laced red hens are half sisters to my rooster. I just hatched eggs I bought from another breeder to get a different bloodline to use for the other hens. If you were to hatch eggs from my birds you would only have a 25% chance of getting splash chicks from my one blue laced red Paul's Poultry hen since blue x blue = 50% blue, 25% splash, 25% black and from my black hens, black x blue = 50% blue and 50% black chicks. I just hatched chicks from my black laced red hens and blue laced red rooster and all 4 of the chicks are blue laced red. Of the 2 chicks I hatched from the eggs I bought (her flock is all blue laced reds) I got one blue laced red and one black laced red chick. If you only like the splash color then I would try getting eggs from John. I would ask him for eggs out of the Catt line splash rooster I sold him.

Here is a picture of my black laced red Foley hen with her new chicks. I let her set on some of the eggs and I hatched some in my incubator. They are 3 days old.

Birds that spectacularly beautiful should be on silk, not on dirt. LOL. So so lovely. Sheesh.............If only people knew the amazing beauty of chickens.......................

Hello, I am new to wyandottes. My hubby bought some for me the other day and I have no idea how old they are! I would greatly appreciate help determining their age. Another question, These are Bantam Partridge variety so what age should I expect to start seeing eggs? Thanks!
