I have a Silver Laced Wydonatte, she is a beautiful bird but the biggest bully. She has killed two of my other birds and injured another so bad she had to be isolated for weeks. Is this normal behavior/attitude from this breed?
So sorry, never easy to find our lovelys in such a state. She was such a beautiful lady.
In your opinions does this chart of feathers show a good example of ideal silver laced male saddle feathers along with defective ones? I did the idealized from memory so probably need to go back and perfect it. Is this chart helpful in showing a decent variety? Should I take on out? include another defect?
(from left to right) Idealized, natural, (5 defective feathers) to much white and to narrow(?), Black fades out at base, discoloration on white with right side with uneven color, discoloration on white center pattern not shown, black disappearing to much white in feather.
Nice feather cut, your hired. Come on over this spring to trimJuanita, our SL, had a bad case of poopy butt. Guess her butt is just too fluffy. So I brought her in to clean her up. The problem was worse than I though so I broke out the scissors and whittled away. Tried to be conservative but when I got done with her, between her feathers being wet back there and my whittling, she had a baboons butt!Thankfully when it dried she fluffed back out and today has lost most of the monkey look.![]()
Wish I would have got a pic of her baboon butt but I was kinda horrified.
lost? or found? i'm confused. you lost one but found two?I lost my only choc pullet. I was moving birds yesterday and found a choc roo a black roo (might be split) a black pullet and 2 choc pullets.
I also found a choc orps roo maybe I can get both going next year.
