The Wyandotte Thread

At the moment we are working to recover the numbers of my White Laced Red Bantams.  They were once fairly common but have become almost extinct at this time.  I have raised them since 1997 and have gotten down to a low of just a couple of birds in the past few years.  But had a little success with them last year and will be working to hatch as many as we can this year.
They are a gorgeous variety and hopefully we will be able to let some go to others in the future.

Hi can you please tell me what color this Wyandotte is the pic is from a chicken catalog I would love love to hatch some thank you

Hello! You all are invited to join the "itty bitty chicky commity"! But you must have a bantam or are raising bantams soon! If you have no bantams then you can't join! Message chickenboy190 or me for more information!

You both might be interested in the Heritage Bantam thread in the Breeds, genetics and Showing section. There are numerous serious Bantam breeders there.

Keep up updated! Nice to see you post again, WyandotteTx, where you been?
Oh, I am always here, just not always posting.
Have our breeding pens set up for the season here and trying to start hatching some chicks soon. Will be focusing on numbers in some of the varieties this year. Numbers are always a good thing when trying to improve patterned varieties. Our Silver Penciled Bantams made great headway last year and hope to do the same this year. Hopefully can have some great success with the White Laced Reds this year and get them back to a viable population. Will of course be raising plenty of Blacks, Duns and BLRs this year also.

Some splash are so diluted all you see is white, but looks to have blue leakage around the head and hocks. White laced reds are just white. No blue in their matings.. splash is just a classification from blue.
