We could use some rain here! Send it over.Well, Have to wait between pours, Lol its raining here,
How old are your boys? I am going to show you some more of my favorite one. I wish he was darker, but I love his type.Yea, His tail is a little high, I would still keep a watch on both of them. Got anymore pics of your boys?![]()
I am going to go take pics of my young ones.they have grown alot..
Quote: they're both nice looking birds, but the bottom guy i'd use with gold laced over blrw, if you HAD to use him... but neither are really great for blrw, as they both have fairly brassy colored necks.
BLRW you want the mahogany red, not the golden red.
this is my "big'un", a darker blue than yours (who might be lighter blue, or possibly darker splash?)
granted he's not as dark as i'd LIKE to have, with my foley black laced girl we should have some nice chicks, IF she ever starts laying eggs!
2 pics included, but neither is great... the first one has a yellow cast to it for some reason, making him look more orange (and he's on top of the pickup looking down so his head's held strange), the second was taken from across the yard and he would NOT stand still... can't wait for my new camera to get here!

They are 5-6 weeks...I cant remember. But they are in the outside brooder. so I have to go out and get them and come in to take the pic.How old are your boys? I am going to show you some more of my favorite one. I wish he was darker, but I love his type.
I agree what you said. The reason I said the top might of been better is the type is eassier to fix then the lacing( Am I right?) And they are both splash, See the splash of darker blue and black feathers in the tail?..they're both nice looking birds, but the bottom guy i'd use with gold laced over blrw, if you HAD to use him... but neither are really great for blrw, as they both have fairly brassy colored necks.

I personally would prefer type over color. Maybe because I raise cutting horses and I am a conformation freak. I am super picky about conformation. To me color is easier to fix. Is it different with chickens?I agree what you said. The reason I said the top might of been better is the type is eassier to fix then the lacing( Am I right?)
