Yes, ki4got, I am referring to the golden laced and silver laced Wyandottes. These four were a gift, so I don't know where they started out. I only know of the tendency to be internal layers and the particulars by searching the internet. My first girl died after about 6 months of waddling about. The second died within a week after I noticed her condition.

My DH is a ham also. Thanks for your reply.
 
My Wyandotte Pullet is slowly getting larger! She's so soft, but so small compared to my Marans








 
Are Wyandottes supposed to be a broody breed? I have a columbian wyandotte that is only about 10 months old and she has been sitting on eggs for the past four days. Is this normal?

She was cold! We're so mild here, it barely hits freezing and had one day a few weeks ago where the temperatures dropped to the 20s out of nowhere! No acclimatization. Thank goodness now we're back to almost 50 :)
