Here's a picture of one of the partridge cockerels I am growing out. Pretty much all of them have orangey hackles but I think this guys pretty decent for color. I know it will take at least another 2-3 generations to get the color I want. He is 6.7lbs and about 9-10 months now with a lot more growing to go. I'm excited to see them all bulked out and start choosing. What do you all think of the color?

Lost some grow outs today due to the cold

. Even with extra bedding, food and water, it was just too much for them. Glad it will be warmer tomorrow, these poor young birds need some fat!

You guys are really copping it. Just think how nice it will be in the spring, warm sun on your face, babies everywhere ..................
 
I lost a few last night too... I have one brooder out in the shop WITH heat.... the light was out this morning.... I think I lost 6 under 6-7 weeks old. The bulb was just lose
