You can't feather sex birds that aren't bred to be feather sexed.

Those don't look like good quality birds, and you won't get good quality birds from a hatchery either. Are you wanting to breed or just to have some pretty pullets?

Hi everyone. Probably a silly question but new to this. I have heard Wyandotte Roos can be aggressive, has anyone any experiences that would verify or scrap this theory.

Any roo can become aggressive. I have several Wyandotte Roos and have only had 1 flog me . He was destined for the pot but has suprised me by mellowing with his maturity. Could be that he was just ' flexing his muscles ' or being a silly teenager, not sure but he has a reprieve , for now. I won't be so forgiving next time.

This last post was timely. I wanted to post a question to all Wyandotte bantam breeders. I have a bantam cockerel about 6 months old that his hormones have been rampant since he was about 8-12 weeks old. He is so bad he must be kept by himself in a pen. At least he has stopped screaming every time he sees me recently. Is this normal behavior and does it get better with age. If so, how long? I'm ready to throw up my hands despite liking this breed otherwise.

Just had to cull our beautiful Juanita....she was the Silver Laced Wyandotte that never layed an egg but she was our buddy and Oprah's running mate especially when Tina was broody. Found her face down in the coop when I got home and she couldn't hold her head up. I was kinda expecting her to not have a long life....
