I hatched out some Wellie eggs that has GLW as main roo. My 4 chicks are feathering the same - solid red chest, patterned backs/wings with straight combs. Mishmash but hopefully good layer mutts for meLooking forward to more pics! Maybe it'll still be a BLR but just with slightly different pattern. I noticed even speckled sussex look like that as chicks (same as welsummers). If the comb is the same as the others (rose comb) it's probably still a BLR or partridge wyandotte. It would be interesting if you post photos of it as it grows up, compared to the others. (fun to watch them grow up no matter the result - cute pics!)
@TinyBirds @Fancychooklady @DMRippy and everyone else who is still interested in the fate of these chicks, here are some pics from yesterday. The chicks with eyeliners have single combs so they are definitely different. Feel free to make your guesses, I won't get offended.

Here is another pic side by side with 2 others with pea-combs Picture got rotated while inserting so dont know how to fix it. But the one sitting on edge of storage box and the one closest to water are in question compared to the other 2 with dark heads and pea combs.
