The Wyandotte Thread

"You need a sharp eye and a sharp ax."
Aint that the truth! Gotta remember that one! My culls are feeding me quite nicely this winter! I enjoy the nostalgia!
And thank you WyandotteTX for the info. I always enjoy reading your posts. Very informative and insightful. There's nothing that can make up for experience.
So in your experience have you ever had a drop in fertility that you would associate with the rose comb?

KyBlue Enjoyed browsing the book. Got it saved in my favorites. It's nice to know there is some information that's timeless!

There used to be a guy in Iowa that raised all the rare varieties of wyandotte bantams including birchens, b.b.reds, brown reds, lemon blues, and that is just to name a few. To my knowledge he no longer raises them, and I do not know what happened to all his birds.

30 months LOL I am a man of great patience. No I meant 30 weeks I was impatient even at that. It seems like the true heritage stock does take a lot longer. The RIR I have took even longer. They were more like 36 months Ah er weeks.
