I just hatched some of hers a couple weeks ago. 14/16 hatched! I ended up with 5 splash, 8 blue, and only 1 black! Yay!

Thanks for the plug Cloverleaf! That was a great hatch you had! They're lookin good and soo cute! A guy from TX just hatched out 11 of my LS so fertility and hatchability have been really good with my birds! And that's after he had a power outage and the fan coming loose and falling and cracking 2 eggs! However my BLRW's have now gone on strike! They think I should send them to FL til spring and I told them they're not goin without me!!

Are you kidding?!? I'll plug your birds till I'm blue in the face! (ok, the fingers actually, seeing as how I'm TYPING, not TALKING)!

They are GORGEOUS!!!!! Some of the nicest BLRWs I've seen! Gorgeous eggs, gorgeous chicks...holy cow, ok, now I'm gushing!! tee hee!!

And I'm blushing!
Ok if they're so nice how come just when I'm ready to hatch some of their eggs do they quit laying on me!! They don't seem to be molting. Some are due for a light molt but their feathering is still nice. The one hen is still broody and another one is showing signs but noone has any eggs to lay on! I think they're all going mental on me!

Anybody know how long BLRW's tend to go on vacation for?

Wish I could answer that for you! Maybe their super-chicken powers know what nice things we say about them, and they are holding out for better treats!!
