Best I've seen are from Ruth Bloch, spelling?, they are nice looking but too gold in the necks to me which seems to be a common problem so far but hers are far better than some I've seen offered. Some dedicated breeding with time could yield great results with a start from her birds. Crossing to a bantam RIR over time with patients and good record keeping would make the red better but won't happen overnight due to the different body types but would be a good project. I think Jesse Paul is working with them now and got his start from Ruths birds if I remember correctly.

I was told My BLR Bantams were great type and I'm guessing thats SQ or close to it & that they have good blue laced red color.

They are from Nikki /Hat trick silkies.
My cockerel is a blue laced red and my pullet is a splash.

so if people want bantam BLR why don't they just cross a standard blr with say another bantam wyandotte? then work on both size and color?

I know they already exist but to get the better quality quicker, just breed down in size (or pick out the runts of the standards).
