it came from a local farm supply store marked as a SLW pullet.I've been told its a pullet.other swear its a roo? the markings look right..its an odd bird
Last night my partridge wyandotte bantam hen hatched 11 chicks. Now to keep them alive. She lost her first 4. I made her go back in her nest w/her babies tonight. We'll see how they make it through night. If they make it through night, will take pictures. They are cute.

Since you have not listed the sex of any of the birds other than the silver laced wyandotts, I am wondering if they are all pullets. And since you have 4 SLW roosters I bet that there is at least one very nice roo out of those 4.
OK, I'm having fun with my FlipVideo - check out the video clip I made of my four "kids" yesterday.
So, I'm expecting that these four will start laying eggs eventually (they're 11 weeks old now). Does it look to anyone in the know that they're going to start crowing, instead?

What pretty young pullets! I like the ones with the thinner lacing but they're all lovely. Did you hatch them or get them as chicks? Don't you just love how friendly and curious they are? I have a Splash, BLR that likes to sit on my lap. She comes right up to me and looks me right in the eye and waits for me to pick her up. They are such awesome chickens...
