My Blue Wyandottes are hatchery birds! The picture is of my lighter blue birds. I also have two very dark blue hens like yours.

I ordered my Blue Wyandotte chicks through my local feed store and they came from Privett hatchery in New Mexico. Very fluffy, calm birds. I really like them!

turkey mt chickens -

sorry it took me so long to give you a reply. i only have time to do net stuff on the weekends, so i wasn't ignoring you. my wyandottes came from the feed store, never had that breed before but husband and son picked them out and the guy told them "these are nice birds". feed store guy thinks they ordered them from privett hatchery which is here in nm. they have a website but their catalog is not available online, or at least the link doesn't work for me. thanks - i also think the ladies are very nice looking birds, but i don't show or breed so i'm not as concerned with precise coloring etc. as some people. hopefully next year i can add a few more colors as well.

my roo came as my free rare breed from mcmurray hatchery, i like him a lot so far but he's taking forever to get his feathers so he's not all that impressive yet.

Morgan7782 How are you four girls getting along ? Thye will soon be four months old and you should be convinced of their gender. Mine are only two and a half months old and I am positive they are pullets. Never had a Wyandotte rooster but maybe someday I'll travel up to gold country and Chickee's place to find one for my girls.

Flower . . how the heck do you keep your birds from overheating out there in the Mohave desert?

I've been having a hard enough time keeping my birds cool here in Northern California when it is in the upper 90's!

My flock of 12 (parents and 10 1/2 grown babies) run across the yard looking for bugs. They remind me of a flock of quail. Looks like I've got 5 & 5 on babies, hoping for only 3 roosters.
