The Wyandotte Thread

thanks sir. To the people that have Wyandotte Bantams, what do your birds weigh? I almost bought a pair of columbian bantam wyandotte hens this morning, but they seemed big, I would guess 3-4 pounds. I saw some blue bantam wyandottes that couldnt have weighed much more than 2lbs, and were small.

OK, just weighed one of my heavier mature hens and she weighed 32 oz. (2 lbs.) even. The American Bantam Standard says they should weigh 26oz. Hope that helps some!!

Could you make a new estimate for those colors?
I'm interested to see your opinion. I'm sure there are birds I don't know about and people that live in places I've never heard of.

Does anyone here know how to tell a SLW rooster from hen??

wonder how many Wyndotte eggs we can fit in the new incubator???? We still have to put the racks back in the bottom section.
