I agree with Colby.I have seen so many people call dark blue black then complain when this "odd" chick is hatched
Dominicker-that isn't a breeder that is a chicken reproduction factory.More than likely their stock came from a hatchery and no culling at all was done..She may be a super layer and a loyal family chicken so in that respect she's great..as a Wyandotte she has many issues

My new free rooster. Although he's not show quality, everyone seems to think he's all SLW. He's the prettiest rooster I have and I love him already. Can't wait to get him in with the others. His feathers are a bit stirred from the roosters picking on him at his prior home.

I have 4 eggs due to hatch next week from this combination of my splash, Greg Catt line rooster over a blue, Paul's Poultry (when his were still pure Lowell Barber stock) hen. Hoping to get some more beauties like this girl

I have an awesome rooster chick out of a black laced red hen from Foley's lines and a splash, Blue Poultry rooster that I plan to use with the pullets for next years hatches.

Oh wow... if her lacing is to gray for you just send her my way!

I'll try and get a pic of mine tomorrow... she's alittle darker I think then yours.

When my hens are really productive, the color on the legs bleaches out. If I have an adult hen with bright yellow legs, she's either been broody for a while or just not laying worth a squat. Time to go to freezer camp!

What did you get out of those chicks? 2 blue and 2 splash? Or is the darker one a black?

the darker ones are the blues and the lighter ones are the splash. Sorry i should have clarified that.
