NO! I like to breed pure. If he was to breed them, They would be my MIL's deal! not mine! We have a separet coop for roosters (and they actually get along!)
What would be some things to look for in him? Would you think he's worth $15 (or $10)?
 
I'd echo Colby. Everything is hard to tell right now since he's so small. He's a splash, and a BLR, which means he is the least popular version of a color that is not accepted in the SOP. My advice to you is that if you like him, $10 is probably not a really high price. I wouldn't pay that thinking you're going to get a show stopper, tho.
 
Agree w/Rudy. Just because he has "anyone's" parents in history means less than zero to me. Now if you were buying from that "anyone" than you are a lot more likely to get what you pay for. Rest to me is smoke and mirrors.

In your area are bantam roosters selling routinely for $10? If so, need a wyandotte rooster, beats not having one. In Indiana for an average, young bantam rooster, I'd hate to pay more than $5.

Took a look at the 7 SLW standard teens i have... I call them teens because they are in that gangley phase where things are half covered and they're still working on real feathers haha. They do have some tree trunk legs though!
