Yesterday I noticed some dark fuzz on the upper portion of two of my SLW's shanks. I don't have a copy of the SOP for them, but I have to guess this is not desirable. I'd appreciate anyone's knowledge about this.

What age are they? Chicks sometimes have fuzz and as adults show no signs of down on the shanks. If they are adults, its a disqualification. Basicly, anything at showable age with feathers or down on the shanks would be disqualified on a clean leg breed.

Just wait and see what they look like at 6 to 8 months old.

We have placed Best and Reserve Variety at every show we have shown at, including the 2010 APA National.
Jim has been an Endowment Trust Lifetime member of the American Poultry Association since 1991. These Buff Wyandotte Bantams are the finest quality we have ever owned.
We placed 2nd male with our Buff Wyandottes at Crossroads Joint National.
Lou Horton confirmed that our line is from his line. We also have some of the Anderson line.
We have now added a male from the Tom Boebuck line.​

I was wondering if any of you guys in this thread would help me on how I should groom them?
For show.
How do they do in show?
How rare are they?
Info on them please
I already bathed them and put vaseline on their combs and legs.
They're not going to showmenship, just being judged in the cage.
