My chicks are hatching! I had decided earlier this week that these would be my last for the year because my young boy started breeding about a week ago... so of course my Splash hen went broody in the coop

. Maybe I will get some more "white tailed Buff" like him, I am becoming quite fond of the coloring.
 
I am not 100% certain but the bunny or horshoe shape is the Uk standard. Which Cheshire poulty is in.
The american wtandard is V shaped. But breedrs try to make everything more rounded. Roosters have more rounded tails then hens. I can tell in my chocolates that are bred from UK orps, they have bunny tails. And my slw have v.


Here's the Wyandotte tail description from the British Standard. "Tail medium size but full & well spread at the base, the main feathers carried rather upright, the sickles of medium length". No mention of bunnies or horseshoes.
