I think Checkers, The Spitzhauben is pure breed, he was from a hatchery. But we got it for free from someone else, and they told us they got him and some other hens from a hatchery

Yep, he was. That is an estimate, but he was at least that old. He is, sadly, no longer with us. He did have like 2 inch spurs

Egg 1: I thought I saw some faint veining. I am not positive though.

Egg 2: I am almost certain I saw veining on this one.

Egg 3: I am 99.9% sure I saw veins. It should be clear by tommorow.

Egg 4: No veining in this egg. It may still be viable. It is too early to be sure.
