1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got chickens in 2018
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 12 right now/ 12 more on the way.
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Silverudd Isbar rooster, 1 German Bielefelder rooster, 2 Blue Jersey Giant hens, 2 German Bielefelder hens, 1 Isa Brown, 3 Isbar Jersey Giant mix, and 2 Dominiques. We have 12 Olandsk Dwarf eggs coming our way.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are just like family with their own personalities!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Photography and hanging out with my kiddo Gabe.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy with almost 18 yrs of Active Duty. My son Gabriel (8 yr) is doing 4H with his chickens so I help him with his projects.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found out on FB through a chicken community.
