It used to be A LOT bigger but now that I have the maggot out the infection has gone down

I didn't get a pic of the maggot but it looked like this,

nasty. Are you sure that was a bit fly? I've never seen a bot fly do that. We had a cat once who had one of those worms in its neck, but I can remember what it was called

Well I researched and there are different species of bot flies, hate those things
