I just went out to check on the silkies, and I saw a little gold finch hopping on the ground trying to fly away but he couldn't. I thought he must have broken a wing or something. So I went back inside, got a blanket, and went back out to catch him in the blanket. So, I caught him and brought him back inside. I took him out of the blanket to look at his wings, they were perfectly fine. Then he jumped and tried to fly/stumble, there was nothing wrong with his wings, it was as if he was just to weak. So I was gonna take him to the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue Center, but after about 5 minutes he was able to fly around our house and I had to catch him again. I think he fell into our (very cold) pool and his muscles were to cold to fly, but when I brought him inside he warmed up. So I just let him go and he flew up into a tree and is eating seeds.
