Hey Luke, what type of lizard do you recommend? I'm getting another next week. I'm thinking about a large anole, or peacock or day gecko.

Oh, cool! I've had anoles before and I don't really think they're all to good. Chinese water dragons and beardies are great, but they get pretty big. Do you want one just to look at or one that is friendly and you can hold? And how big?

I think that I want a really pretty one to look at, I've got an AFT I can hold but he's yellow and purplish/brown so a striking colored lizard would be the one for me. Nothing to big, a beardie would be the biggest I'd go. How big to Chinese water dragons get? Peacock day geckos are really pretty but they are fast. Maybe a tokay? Your the lizard expert here so I thought id ask you!

Ah. Chinese water dragons get from 2 to 3 feet -- but that's 75% tail, so about the same size as a beardie but they need a tall cage. I think - if you can get (or make) a tall enough cage - you should get a water dragon. They are really pretty lizards, especially the males, they have cool crests and they're pretty emerald colors (look up a picture), and they're also friendly so you could hold him too.

I have a pet rock named 'Owen'. I like him a lot but he never smiles and doesn't say anything, just looks at me with a deadpan cold stoney stare. He is pretty harmless (silent 'h'). One time I dropped him, lucky for Owen, he landed on my big toe saving himself from serious injury, not so luck for me.

Every one should have a pet rock or two, they don't eat much and rarely make a mess. Actually they don't do anything at all come to think of it. No food bills, no mess to clean up! Best pet ever!
