Hee hee hee

My favorite chicken, however, is named Miss Purdy Poopscratcher

My most spoiled bratty duck is named Uno. Great name for a solo hatch

Most of mine are rescues from when I was working with the Duck Rescue Network, so they already had names. But I did have a Gumby and Pokey, Orville and Wilbur Flight, Beanie and Cecil.
Irma LaGoose, Bella LaGoosie (my avatar goose).

Mostly I just watch them until a name comes to me. It's a great excuse...er...ahem reason to sit in a chaise lounge with a bowl of treats all day.

"Honey, when's dinner"
"I can't cook now, I am naming the ducks! Get a sandwich!"

I have a lavender Silkie roo I named Silver, then I have Favor, Treasure, Honor, and Blessing, all Silkies.

My birds are both themed and not. I have Stella and Luna (seems to be popular) and I have some of Gilligan's Island- Ginger, Marianne, Gilligan, Mr. Howell, Professor. There are lots that are named singularly, most after old classic literature, since they live in Darles Chicken's Beak House.

If I had ducks, well, to name them, I'd need to see them, but still.

Flowers, always flowers with me. Petunia, daphne, daisy, rose, lily, etc... Now I'm on the old fashioned names...Arabella, Beatrice, Dorothea, Eliza, stuff like that...

My roos are named after liquor (and I don't drink!)
Bourbon, Scotch,Skyy (Blue Vodka)

Actresses: Gretta,Marilyn,Grace

Food: Ghiradelli, Ginseng, Cherry Pie,Lollipop,Milkshake, Carmel

Ducks: Guinevere (and I need another duck and drake name!)

Forgot my old birds; Ashley, Naomi, and Wynona

I also have to add that I use a different naming protocol for ducklings than adult ducks. With babies, you usually don't know if they are boys or girls so you look for gender neutral names like...

JJ (mom was thought to be Janet, dad was Jack. Works for boy or girl...turned out to be a girl)

Uno (solo hatch - turned out to be a girl)

Bungie (named after his repeated attempts to jump oout of whatever container he was placed in...store bought duckling - turned out to be a boy)
