Therapy chickens??

Several weeks ago, I took 6 of my young chickens ( who were about a month old at the time) to see one of our neighbors, who is in a nursing home. I put them in my cat's carrier, with lots of straw and placed them in the backseat of my car. I was going 70 mph on the interstate when I heard scratching noises...those little buggers were so at home in the carrier, they were scratching around in the straw!!
Our neighbor ( and his wife) were thrilled to see the chicks, as were several of the residents at the nursing home. The only part the chicks came close to minding was when I took them out of the carrier to see the neighbor.
I'm hoping to take some of those chicks-now two months old-back to see our neighbor ASAP. Hopefully, they'll remember the previous visit and not mind! I think transporting them in the carrier is key, because it's not as open as a regular cage and they feel secure.
Good luck with your therapy chickens-please let us know how it goes!
