So I was at tractor supply last night and all of the remaining chicks were half off so obviously I had to get a couple. Once I got in the car I noticed one of the chicks had black toenails of both feet. Is this normal? Ok? Do I need to do something about it? It seems fine I was just concerned and wondering if it needed to be treated somehow so it won’t spread or something?

The toes are dead. They'll fall off soon. Happens when they get caught in something and lose bloodflow. I have a Sumatra missing a middle toe because it got stuck in a crease of her shipping box

As for spreading, it *shouldn't* spread. But it might. Keep an eye on it, if it does, you can use a piece of thread closer to the foot base and tie it off before it reaches there

So once they fall off it will be fine I’m assuming?

Poor thing :(
I agree with the comments above about it being dead. I hope she gets better soon. Wishing her the best of luck.
