I had a front 4wd tractor axle shipped from a salvage dealer:
- 40" by 48" pallet;
- made from reject Tractor Supply chicken house wood (joke);
- two pallets atop one another for Jack access, both broken.

For coop construction 1"thick boards at least are preferred.

I couldn't get it because of its length and weight, but there was a pallet that had two lengths of 3"x4" timbers running about 12 feet - with 1" planks when I got the pallets that I'm getting lumber out of now. Mine have 1/2" planks, but I get (3) 1 3/4"x3 3/4" boards out of each pallet measuring 6'11" each.
