I was talking to my mom earlier and I just happen to look out the front door windows and see a black flash across it. So I moved the curtains and looked and this little Dark-eyed Junco Sparrow is sitting right on the sill of the window looking straight up at me, I told my mom to come here, and the bird just sat and starred at us. I think it is sitting there because the window sill is leaking warm air from inside to outside and the bird could feel it because its pretty cold its not snowing but it did a couple inches last night and then rained. So I opened the front door carefully and the little bird flew up to the window and just hovered like it was trying to find a way in. So when it landed on the porch, I opened the front door a little bit and it just sat there and finally flew away when my dog walked up. I think I will throw some bird seed out for it, I feel sorry for it, for the wind is terrible.
