Storms aren't common this time of year? You have a rainy season, right?
No, not really. We have monsoon officially Mid june-late Sep. October- mid Dec. is typically dry on the desert as the jet shifts north. Even in monsoon, 4 forecast wet days in a row is rare. It's taking the combined moisture from the remains of 2 hurricanes (octave and priscilla) to cause this.

Not complaining, we always need rain. Hopefully, it will kick off thunderstorms for me to point my camera at and make clicky-clicky noises. :p

Locally, we have up to an inch in the forecast. Over a period of days that isn't a problem.
