Watching them peck around in the grass, and run away from the kids... watching the baby calmly and slowly walk up and grab a chicken and carry it around (poor chicken!) it just seems so... perfect. Like how kids are supposed to be raised. Finding an egg in the nest box afterschool, guarding any snack they dare bring in the backyard- and then giving in and sharing it with an eager chicken.... Can I get a pony too?
