There's a chicken in my front yard?!?

There's a white chicken in my front yard, none of my neighbors, aspca, animal control want anything to do with it. (I can't keep it, my animals would probably eat it). Any ideas what to do with it? I live in spring Texas, just north of Houston.

You could put her in a dog crate in your house with food and water and post in the swaps or buying and selling thread. I’m sure someone would purchase/take her for free there. Can you post a picture of her? I’d like to know what breed she is.

Did you just join backyard chickens to post this message? You can't find a way to keep it so you can stay here with us on byc?
You can either catch it this evening and post it on Craigslist as a free chicken to a good home or you can keep it and feed it and we will teach you the ropes.

You could make her a house chicken. Lots of people train them to go outside to poop or litter box train them. Or chicken diapers but that gets them messy.

I believe there is a buy/sell section here on BYC where you can list it. Maybe someone in your area would see the ad and be willing to adopt/rescue it. I know I would if I lived nearby.
